As part of ChallenNGe Nottingham’s mission to ensure every child feels heard, Edna G. Olds has proudly taken part in the exciting Voice Box project. Pupils from the academy created a design for their Voice Box which was transformed into a beautifully crafted wooden mascot that matched the children’s artwork perfectly. Once delivered to the school, pupils added their own finishing touches, decorating their design before officially launching it as part of their growing commitment to Pupil Voice. Children use the Voice Box to share their thoughts, views and ideas about what they want in their school community.
“The Voice Box is there to make sure that every child is welcome and every child’s view and opinion is heard. There are multiple clubs that run in school and the majority of these stem from children actually using their voices and saying, “We’d like to have a crochet club.”
